City of Leeds Open Day - 28th November 2010

The City of Leeds are holding an open/exhibition day in the diving pit at the John Charles Aquatics Centre on 28th November 2010, from 2pm until 4.30pm.

On the final session prior to the NAGs, the club are offering an open invite to all parents, family and friends and all coaches in the region to see all 19 routines that the girls are entering to swim at the NAGs in Gloucester. This is to give the girls a dress rehearsal in front of an enthusiastic and supportive audience and give everyone the chance to see the routines who can not travel to Gloucester, and to wish them luck.

We want you to make as much noise as you can - and yes vuvuzelas are allowed !!!

There will be a small raffle on the day, so any donations will be welcome and the event will see the launch of the City of Leeds 2011 Calender, which is hot off the press.

The girls will be swimming the routines in full competition kit, with hair gelled, and we have managed to secure the services of a professional photographer to take photo's of the event that you can purchase on the day. Please be aware that if you purchase on the day, some of the proceeds go to the club, but you must buy these on the day. He does upload pictures to his website for purchase after the event as well.

The same poolside crew that will be present at Gloucester will be helping the girls prepare in the lunchtime prior to the session following the usual morning training session.

Please invite as many as you can and there is no admission fee, although you may get your collar felt for a raffle ticket or a synchro definition t-shirt. (My ambition is to get rid of these by 2012 !)

All members are invited to attend as are all our regional club coaches - so please spread the word.

Time is now confirmed and we recommend you get there for 2pm, to get a seat get your raffle ticket and calender before we sell out. We have 19 routines to get through and so the first routine will begin at 2.30pm.
