City of Leeds coach Fiona Blackstone judges internationally in Eindhoven

Junior GB

Rosie Barrington and Jessica Ranson have both been invited to the Junior GB training which will take place during the Olympic this summer. The squad will learn the 'War of the Worlds' team swum by the Senior GB squad. Posted by Sarah Speers

England Talent

Three athletes from the City of Leeds SSC recently finished their second England Talent training camp in Aldershot. Abigail Devanny and Melissa Knapton both attended initially as Level 3 athletes competing for a place in the top 12, who will train at the final camp prior to the international competition the team have entered in Croatia. Rebecca Richardson also attended as a level 2 athlete. Competition was fierce at the trials and although the City of Leeds does not have a representative in the final 12 athletes, the girls all performed very well and have all shown a great improvement since February when the first camp was held. Melissa Knapton and Rebecca Richardson both achieved 400m PB's with time of 5.25 and 5.39 respectively and Abigail Denanny maintained her PB of 5.35. Well done to all three athletes.
