12 & Under Solo

In two great swims, the placing in this event were;

Hope did brilliantly to climb a place following her 10th place finish, and Natalie despite a valiant effort, could not close the gap on 3rd place. Still a good showing from both, and the figure placings bode well for the English Nationals in December.

Its a GOLD in the 13/14 Duet !!!

Rebecca and Greta collect GOLD in a great swim. Cheered on by the City of Leeds Supporters - who were the loudest yet again .... the girls swam a great routine. They were slightly out one figure, but apart from that, the heights were good, the verticals were good, and the timing was superb.

1st Greta Hampson & Rebecca Richardson

So, the City of Leeds Medal Haul continues to rise;

2 GOLD
1 SILVER
1 BRONZE

Bronze in the 12 and Under Duet

Late results in,

In an epic swim, Hope and Natalie won Bronze in the 12 and Under Duet. This was an absolutely fantastic result seeing as Natalie lost her Nose Clip toward the climax of the routine, and the two final figures were lengthy ones and to do this without the audience noticing was a superb effort. What shone was the synchronisation between the pair. Well done to both girls.

3rd Natalie Stephenson-Quayle & Hope Lee-Fowkes

So that makes the Medal Haul for the club,

1 GOLD
1 SILVER
1 BRONZE

Its looking to be a good competition so far - and news of another GOLD to come.

Another Medal: 13/14 Solos

Results in for the 13/14 Solos….

And its Medal Success for Rebeeca who adds to her personal tally a Silver. She was lying in 1st place after the figures but was beaten to Gold by Chloe Shortman (Bristol). Melissa swam well moving up the placings to just miss out on a podium place, finishing in fourth place.

2nd Rebecca Richardson (Leeds Mermaids)
4th Melissa Knapton (Halifax)

The free routine is taking place as I type - as soon as results are posted, I will let you know.
