Season plan 2014

 

All coaches/ parents/ swimmers are invited to a meeting to outline the broad season plan for all squads in terms of competitions, training and selections in 2014.

 

The meeting is planned to take place on two dates:

 

Date 1: Wednesday 11^th December 5.45pm-6.15pm JCCS

 

Date 2: Sunday 15^th December JCCS ( time to be confirmed)

 

Ian is going to be uploading videos from Nationals onto the website as soon as possible. To access these you need to go to the Members tab on the website www.synchroleeds.org

 

Then click on videos

 

Enter password COLSSCtraining

 

Ian has also now uploaded the 12&U combo swim from last night so swimmers can view this tonight in preparation for tomorrows competition.

 

Final reminder- there is no training from Friday 29^th November until Monday 2^nd December due to Nationals. Good luck to all competing J

Clarification of the weekend

Saturday walkthroughs for 12&U team are for competitive swimmers ( Skill 2) only. All recreational 12&U combo swimmers should come for land before normal Saturday training ( 12pm-3pm).

 

Sunday walkthroughs are also for competitive swimmers only. The competitive 12&U skill 2/3 Team swimmers are then also needed 3pm-5pm in the dive pit for final team training.

This weekend and blogging!

Dear member,

 

There is no additional pool training this weekend and training is as normal, however I would like to add the following Walkthrough times at

 

Kippax on Saturday and JCCS on Sunday in the Dance studio. Please ensure you are ready 5 minutes early for your slot.

 

Saturday Kippax

 

13/14 duet: 11am

12&U duet: 11am

13/14 Team only : 11.20am

12&U Team only : 11.40am  

Junior duet: 12pm

 

Land training: 12pm-1pm as normal

 

Pool session ( as normal)

 

 

Sunday JCCS

 

13/14 and 12&U Team walkthroughs 1.30- 2pm dance studio

18/19 duet walkthroughs 1.30- 2pm dance studio

 

Land will be in the dance studio on Sunday 2pm- 3pm

Scotland results and Extra Nationals training this week

 

Congratulations to all involved for the brilliant Scottish Nationals results last weekend. The club scored a total of 11 medals with all swimmers returning from Glasgow with a medal, and many very close 4^th places- really positive results, improved from last year with more gold and silvers! Over 135 athletes competed across over 10 clubs. The competition was also a great opportunity to learn more about what we need to improve upon towards Nationals.

 

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who came to support the club as officials, team managers, chaperones and coaches- you all did a fantastic job as the competition ran very smoothly, and well done to all coaches and the athletes who have produced these results through their efforts at training sessions. One month to go until Nationals for that last push in training to make improvements. I thank all parents for your continued support in bringing your child to training sessions.

NAGs training Development Squad

 

Please see attached the schedule between now and Nationals and till Christmas for athletes in Development squad. Where it says ** extra combo session** this is an additional session for athletes who are in the 12&U national combo ( Lilo and stitch/ Elvis routine). The swimmers will also be swimming this routine in the Christmas show.

 

Let me know if you are unsure about any of these dates or cannot attend any if you haven’t let me know already.
